The LORD knows the future, He planned the past, and understands how they fit together. The LORD is orchestrating everything as He has from the beginning.
There was a great famine coming on the earth and God shows Pharaoh in a dream what will happen. However, Pharaoh did not understand. Perhaps he was so self-absorbed that he couldn’t understand; this is a common problem for us today: we only see things from our perspective. One thing is certain, God was orchestrating a way for Joseph so that he could make a way for Israel. The Spirit of God was with Joseph, even while he was falsely accused and thrown into prison. Through a complex series of events, it would be Joseph’s ability to hear from God that would secure his release and everyone’s survival. God would answer the great Pharaoh through the faith of a foreign prisoner.

The Heart of Pharaoh; Exodus 8-10
The ten plagues of Egypt were ten judgments of God that could have been avoided if Pharaoh had obeyed God through Moses. Pharaoh was of the belief that he was God. This helps explain why his heart was hard against the God of his slaves. He was not interested in losing their valuable labor. He bel...
