In Genesis 17, the LORD speaks to Abram and tells him two significant things: First, his name will be changed from Abram to Abraham, from father to exalted father. This is how God will address him from this time forward. Second, God tells Abraham, and us, that the land he is in will be given to him and his descendants. Later in the Scripture we will hear the name God gave to this land: It will be called Israel. The Word of God explains all things relevant to us today. When we read it and listen to the way God speaks, we begin to understand why things are the way they are. History is incredibly important because it explains to us how we got to where we are in the present. It gives us the reasons for our circumstances. Many have tried to erase or change the history of God’s Word so that they can rewrite the present, but this is the wrong strategy: History is not the enemy.
We are a family-run international ministry with television, print and online programs designed to guide you through the Bible in one year.
From social issues and apologetics to theology, history and science, our mission is to educate, edify and encourage the believer to actively engage with God’s Word in all ways.
