"It is clear that the people of the early Church had a unique kind of joy and excitement. These people of the Way, or Christians, even gave what they had to provide for others (ACTS 4:32-37). The Scriptures tell us that they had all things in common. This was not to push some kind of agenda or establish an economic system like socialism or communism. It was about surrendering all things to God, putting all power back in His hands and living like living sacrifices. Those Christians rejected their own attitudes of
power and control, in order that they could share with others who were without. This was a result of true revival that happened as a result of the arrival of God’s Holy Spirit. Many of the religious leaders were left out of this arrival because they hated Christ, they had rejected Him and had Him put to death. It is amazing that nothing could stop the plan of God. Jesus Christ conquered death and proved that it was not final!
