"One of the great practices that the LORD Jesus Christ left with us is the celebration of the Last Supper. In the West, we often call it Communion, but it is the first Lord’s Supper that is covered today in our reading of Mark 14. This symbolic action of Communion was instituted by the LORD Jesus Christ and we would do well to keep it fresh in our minds and practice what it tells us. There are many denominations who celebrate Communion
in different ways. The important part is that we follow Christ’s example, consider Communion’s deep meaning, and apply its truths to our lives. The LORD Jesus Christ made a covenant with us in that His body was broken for our sins, clearing the way for healing and help. His blood, symbolically in the cup, has covered our sins so that when we give our
lives to Jesus Christ, God sees Christ’s work in us not our failed work. The sanctifying work of Jesus Christ changes us forever and makes us holy in the sight of God.
We are a family-run international ministry with television, print and online programs designed to guide you through the Bible in one year.
