"As people of God, we need to learn to pray and ask for God’s wisdom. We tend to move
on our own ideas, we work hard for the things we want to do for the LORD or the things
we think are right. Working for the LORD is good, making decisions informed by the
Scriptures is also good, but let us also remember to make prayer a top priority. We need
to align our hearts with God so that He can direct us into His right paths. Failure to do
this proved to have bad results for Israel when they were moving into Canaan. They
did not realize the importance of hearing and listening to the LORD. These mistakes
are recorded in the Bible as an example for us to learn from. There are ways to do the
LORD’s work that we don’t come to through our human minds alone.
