We fall into what we think is the ‘next best thing’ or our ‘only option at the time’ and continue on as though we failed or, perhaps, we may feel that we had no choice but to fail. But God knows the future, past and present. He determines what His will is and how it will be established. king, who ran from a demonically influenced and deeply jealous Saul. David thought it would be better for himself if he simply faded away into a small enemy city. But unbeknownst to David, he ended up retreating to a place where he could, and would, finish accomplishing what Israel had
not done for years: God’s will. David conquered Israel’s enemies and destroyed their wealth and establishment because Israel’s king could not–––Saul was working for the enemy.
