"Fear is a powerful motivator. There are millions of people operating in fear who are making decisions in life that affect how they, and others, see the world. God desires us to make decisions out of faith and not out of fear. This principle is something that the prophet Elijah understood. 1 Kings 17 gives us a look into the life of a woman who put faith into action. She did what Elijah said, even though she may have been filled with
doubt. The widow who encountered the prophet was desperate and needed money to survive, she was preparing the last meal for her and her son when God sent Elijah who arrived and asked her to bring him a drink and something to eat. She did what he said in faith, and she was blessed by God.
