"The LORD outlined holy days in His law for Israel. Israel needed to arrange their yearly and weekly calendar around remembering God. Leviticus 23 explains that observation of these laws was a part of recognizing the cost of sin. Sin has always been devastating to mankind, we are the ones who sinned, and we are the ones who must bear the
consequences of sin. The problem is, even in giving the Law to Israel, God would have known that it was impossible for anyone to have perfectly fulfilled it. That is why the Law was only part of God’s plan for salvation. It laid groundwork that Jesus Christ would fulfill and build on top of. Jesus is not an impostor as some have proposed. He was and is the Only Begotten Son of God, the long-awaited Messiah. In order to be right with God,
we must turn from sin, ask for His forgiveness, and give our lives to following Him.
