"There’s something about the Bible. In my experience, there is often a great response to the reading of the Bible. It’s easy to get used to saying that the Bible is the ‘Word of God’ but it is good to really contemplate that phrase. The Bible contains words from God! The One who created you and me has preserved messages for us in written form. This is a breathtaking thing. In Nehemiah 8 we see a revival of teaching the words of God. There were about 30,000–50,000 men and women who came for the reinstitution of the Levitical ministry of teaching the Law of God. It’s so interesting to read about how the Levites helped explain and translate the Law and how the people responded in worship. There is something about the Word of God. This was a key moment in the history of Judaism.
