"The Psalms is an ancient poetic hymnbook for everyone who loves the LORD with all their heart, soul, strength, and mind. The book of Psalms is the longest in the Old Testament with 150 chapters. Psalm 119 is the longest chapter in the Bible, containing 176 verses divided into 22 stanzas of 7 verses each. Psalm 119 is also known to be memorized by sons of Jewish believers for their Bar mitzvah, which in Hebrew means “son of commandment.” When a Jewish boy turns 13, he has all the rights and obligations of a Jewish adult, including the commandments of the Torah. I think this is a beautiful rite of passage because the principle of the ceremony is supposed to instill in them how to properly follow God. Psalm 119 is very important to each one of us today, especially those who have chosen to follow the LORD Jesus Christ as Messiah.Bible Discovery TV - The Daily Show (2023) - June 2023.
