Yahweh Remembers; Zechariah 1-4
Season 9, Episode 10

14-Sep-2023
"We begin today in Zechariah 1, during the eighth month of the second year of Darius, king of Persia. Zechariah’s name means, ""Yahweh remembers"". In his book, he writes eight visions about the end of time. He uses Israel’s devastating past experiences as exiles to encourage and inform them of their future hope and mission: The people must never forget the foolishness of their fathers who did not worship of God. The first four chapters set up the focus on the future. We will see the majesty of the Almighty God in the visions of Zechariah, too. One thing we can always count on: The words of the Holy Spirit are clear and sharp. There is nothing that is irrelevant. Everything matters when we read about the coming of Messiah and the details of the end of the age.

According to Matthew; Matthew 1-4
"Matthew is the first of the four gospels that greets us as we move into the New Testament. Though Matthew likely wasn’t the first gospel that was written, it does have a very strong connection to the Old Testament and so makes good sense to come first. Matthew purposefully presents the life of J...
