God Knows Our Future; Romans 1-2
Season 11, Episode 5

God knows our future. This is such a strange concept for us to wrap our minds around. There is comfort in it though: God is faithful to prepare us for what is to come. It is wise for us to set our minds and hearts on seeking God in all things, so that He can direct and guide us. Rather than doing this, too many of us set our minds on building up our own happiness and satisfaction in
the things of this world. We’ve bought the lie that the more we have here, the happier we will be in our lives. It’s not true. True contentedness, true happiness and joy comes from following the LORD. God teaches us and fulfills us like nothing else ever could. There are specific instructions given in the Bible about how to follow God. The Bible teaches us who God is, who He is not,
and how we should live because of His truth. Romans 2 tells us to pay attention to our own desires, keeping them in check. We should not seek whatever we personally desire, but put God first in our heart, soul, mind, and strength, allowing Him to sort out the details of our desires, putting them in the appropriate places.
