When we pay attention, we can see the goodness of God every day in our lives, and we can also
see evil. The book of Job showcases the complex and troubling difficulty that comes with the battle between good and evil. For our part, we need to remember that God is good no matter what, and that evil will ultimately fail and fall. Evil may not fail when we expect it to, and we may even interfere in the process. What I mean is that we often choose the wrong things when faced with life choices. There are always consequences to our actions and decisions, that much is true. Praise God that He still works with us and sometimes despite us, for our own good. God is good. Part of that goodness means allowing us to battle with these things in our lives. How will you choose today? As Christians, we can’t just do what we want, we must prioritize God’s morality, we must do what Christ tells us through His life and the Word. That’s what it means to follow God. We won’t be perfect, but God is bigger and stronger than our imperfection.
