God is the definition of strength! He is life. He is the essence of power. That is why it is so important for us to sing and pray Psalm 46, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” ( PSALM 46:1). When we believe that, and live that, then the reality of the LORD our God, Jesus Christ, is shown to others. It is one thing to say that God is the LORD of our life, and it is another to demonstrate that God is the LORD of our life. These songs are paramount to how we should think and express ourselves; each Psalm is a great reminder to keep God our focal point every single day. Likewise, we should keep the Psalms in front of our eyes and in our hearts as we go about our business. Amazingly, the Holy Spirit will teach us the meaning of His Word as we live our lives. He will demonstrate His power in our lives as we demonstrate His power to others. When we praise the LORD, sing the Psalms, and pray His commands, we declare that Jesus Christ is King of kings and the LORD of lords.
