Season 7, Episode 15

Isaiah 61 begins with the speaker, the Messiah, claiming that the Spirit of God is upon Him. We
have a lot of ideas today about the Holy Spirit, who He is and what He does. He accomplishes
great things in our lives, but the fundamental truth is that we first need salvation from our sin.
We were created to spend eternity with God. We were created not to do our own thing, but to do God’s will, building God’s Kingdom as a righteous team. The devil works very hard to get us all turned around and distracted with the wrong things. It’s easy to do what we feel, isn’t it? Yet, when we come under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, we need to follow what God has said. This makes us happy, joyful, peaceful people because our lives are spent not just on temporary physical things but also on building eternity. Eternal satisfaction can only come from God’s Kingdom.
