One of the things we learn in the Scriptures containing prophecy is that whatever authority is not given to God, will be taken by Him in the end. He is the Creator of heaven and earth, whether we like it or not. In Ezekiel 44, we read about a defilement of the Jerusalem Temple and about the Levites who had wandered away from God; they did not give authority to the LORD in their worship, and correction was coming. The time of the Millennium is a time in the future when Jesus Christ will rule and reign on the earth. There will be no voting, no protesting, no challenge of authority that will stand against Him; the LORD Jesus will reign. Those who follow Christ now place Him as the LORD, the King of their lives, but in time, the LORD will be
everyone’s King, just as a fact of life. In the Millennium, mankind will still have a choice to follow Christ personally or not. We would all do well to choose to follow Jesus Christ now.
