There are many who have not learned the truth about God's presence. The Holy Spirit dwells within us. In Hebrew that means He tabernacles within us. In other words, we are the tabernacle, and the Holy Spirit sits on the mercy seat of our hearts‚-‚-the Holy of Holies. That is where our High Priest, Jesus Christ, presides day and night before God. But to make this happen, there was a cost, a sacrifice. Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, was that sacrifice. He paid the cost of sin once and for all. God chose to come in the flesh, into the presence of sinful mankind to demonstrate His real presence and make atonement for the sins of all who would by faith believe in Him. This is a fascinating! Christ died and gave Himself as a perfect sacrifice on the cross and rose again in the flesh on the third day. God's presence is powerful and when we accept Jesus Christ as LORD and invite Him into our lives, He lives inside of us. As we study through the book of Leviticus, we learn that God's holy presence was not something that should ever be taken for granted. We must recognize the miracle God has provided through Jesus Christ.
