Religion is man’s way of finding and connecting with God. The LORD made a way for ancient Israel to connect with Him, and He has made a way for us to connect with Him. This way cannot be fulfilled through religion. Our connection with God must be physical and spiritual. Jesus Christ came – fully God and fully man – to save the human race from the devastation of eternal death. The Bible is God’s Word and it tells us the truth about Him, human nature, and the consistent trouble caused by sin. We must understand that when religion takes control, merely actions without heart, we experience problems with knowing God. The last chapter of Isaiah reminds us that God is alive and well; His presence fills heaven and earth, and there is a right and a wrong way to worship and honour Him.
