Accountable; Jeremiah 35-37
Season 8, Episode 1

01-Aug-2024
It is a difficult thing to be held accountable for your actions, but that is exactly what God tells us through His Word: We are accountable to Him. We have a choice when it comes to what God has commanded. We are sinners, that is true. Yet, God has given us the opportunity to come to Christ and know Him as the LORD of our life. Once we do this, we still have choices to
make. In the LORD’s prayer, Jesus taught His disciples to pray in this way, “And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who have trespassed against us…” (MATTHEW 6:12). We have a responsibility, not only to ask forgiveness from God but to also give forgiveness. We will answer
to God for how we handle things like this. In today’s reading, God speaks to His nation and explains that they have a choice to follow Him and repent or to go on living in rebellion and sin, and face the consequences.
