"Time is not eternal as some people may think. The Bible tells us that there was a beginning and there will be an end. This concept of finite time affects how we see God working in our lives. First, we understand a new meaning to the term life because we will live forever with the LORD in eternity. That takes us so far beyond the small confines of time here on earth. Yet God places us in time and calls us to His service for a reason. In his second letter to Timothy, Paul writes while awaiting his death in prison, and reminds Timothy that God had selected them to proclaim the gospel. Even today, God has selected and designed us to be present in this time. I believe the Bible to be more relevant now than it has ever been. There is more truth in the Word of God than any other book. Truth is difficult to find in the world today. In fact, many do not believe that truth exists at all, but God's time is controlled by God's history. Paul encourages Timothy to be loyal to Jesus Christ and never to be ashamed of the Gospel.
