I always felt intimidated by the Bible because I had such respect for God, so I didn’t really read it. Everything changed when I fully committed my heart to the LORD, I began to read the Bible regularly and it influenced everything. The Bible is no ordinary book – it is the Word of God. Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” There are passages in the Bible that are hard to understand, there are even numbers, listed details, and genealogies that we may be tempted to skip over. Remember though, there is no word or detail that is out of place or unnecessary in His Word. The books of Moses, history, poetry, music and prophecy are all relevant. In the book of 1 Kings, we begin to understand the details of what Solomon built and why he built it that way. The buildings that Solomon built were majestic, and so when God allowed them to be destroyed He was sending a clear message to the Israelites.

God Knows; 1 Kings 21-22
The LORD knows our actions and reactions, even when we try to hide. It’s a strange fact that some people will consider what the Bible says, or what their pastor or Christian friends say, and will still choose to ignore God. They will still choose to believe that God either: does not see their act...
