Pure-hearted women who genuinely want to please God, but who are not grounded in the Word of God, can become captive to an incorrect understanding of "biblical submission." Sometimes they associate submission with accepting abuse, believing this is their God-given duty. But nothing could be further from the truth of God nor the heart of God, who is against all types of abuse -- physical, sexual, verbal, emotional, and spiritual abuse.
