Season 1, Episode 7

"When I was a young teenager, a wise youth pastor suggested that I should begin to pray for my future wife. So I did — even though I did not know her yet, I prayed that God would give her patience, to know grace, and to be able to put up with me. What I did not know during those next few years of praying is that I would actually see her on three separate occasions in different cities before I would formally meet her. It wasn’t until I moved to Canada that I would begin to date her. When we are seeking a partner in marriage, we can operate the way the world does, looking to those around us for the answers to our deep longings for companionship, or we can turn toward God, praying and asking Him to fulfill our lives
according to His plan. Are we asking the LORD to help us become who we need to be as a spouse? Are we asking Him to help our future spouse and reveal to them His counsel and grace? God answers every prayer, so let’s get our own lives in order as we follow Him.
