Passover; Exodus 11-13

The LORD has placed wonderful promises of eternity in His Word. This is one of the things that makes the Bible as relevant today as it was when it was first written. Many of these promises can be seen in the covenants of the Old Testament; some of which have been fulfilled, while others have only partially been fulfilled. There are end results that still must happen for the LORD to continue His plans. God has chosen to display His promises and covenants through time. Time is finite; there was a beginning to time and there will be an end to time. Exodus 12 records the beginning of the Passover covenant. It is an image of the Messiah, what will come, and what is still to happen. God gives this covenant at the end of Israel’s slavery in Egypt, and at the beginning of Israel as an organized nation.
