"God created both male and female in his own image (GENESIS 1:27). But there is no question about it: women are uniquely gifted by God to care for children and keep them safe. That is precisely what happens 400 years after Joseph. A special baby boy was born to Jochebed during a terrible time in Egypt (EXODUS 6:20). Pharaoh decreed that every newborn baby boy should be thrown into the Nile River to die. When Jochebed could no longer hide her son, she placed him in a little waterproofed ark and set it by the river’s bank among the reeds. She sent her daughter Miriam to watch what would happen from afar. The baby was discovered by Pharaoh's own daughter who named him Moses. She ordered Moses’ brave sister to find someone to nurse the baby for. Jochebed not only got to care for her beloved son, she was paid by Pharaoh to nurse him. These three heroes – Jochebed, Miriam, and the Pharaoh’s daughter, as well as Shiphrah and Puah, the Hebrew midwives, are truly remarkable women! We are a family-run international ministry with television, print and online programs designed to guide you through the Bible in one year.
From social issues and apologetics to theology, history and science, our mission is to educate, edify and encourage the believer to actively engage with God’s Word in all ways."
