What is your citizenship? Some are proud to be American. Many are happy to be Canadian. Many others are delighted to be Nigerian, British, Indian, or from wherever. But if we are Christians, we should know that we are not citizens of this world but of Heaven. When we learn about things in the Bible, we are learning to understand the culture of Heaven.

In the early Church there were those who thought that to be a Roman citizen was worth a lot of money. However, in Philippians 3, Paul the apostle tells us that to be a citizen of Heaven is the best way. As we become more Christ-like in our lives, remember that God is showing us how to live life here like we do in Heaven (MATTHEW 6:10), which will also
make us better citizens of our country.
